Privacy policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
This policy explains what information Rigworthy collects, why, and how it's used. We keep this simple on purpose: we don't run user accounts, we don't process payments, and we don't sell personal data.
Information we collect
- Newsletter signups. If you enter your email address to subscribe, we store it with our email delivery provider solely to send you the updates you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Contact emails. If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and, where relevant, to correct our guides.
- Analytics. We use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which guides are useful and how the site is performing. This data is anonymized or pseudonymous and is not used to build individual profiles.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider logs basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability, in line with normal web hosting practice.
Affiliate links and cookies
Rigworthy is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. We also link to other retailers under similar affiliate arrangements.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (e.g. Amazon) may set its own cookie to attribute the referral to us. This cookie is set and controlled by the retailer, not by Rigworthy — we don't receive or store it. See the retailer's own privacy policy for details on how they use it. Our full disclosure on how affiliate links work is on the affiliate disclosure page.
How we use your information
We use the information above only to operate the site: sending newsletter updates you asked for, responding to messages, fixing errors in our guides, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns so we know which guides to prioritize. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email, or by emailing us directly.
- Ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing editorial@rigworthy.com.
- Control cookies through your browser settings at any time; blocking third-party cookies won't affect your ability to read the site.
Children's privacy
Rigworthy is a general-audience buying-guide site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
